About Express
The Benefits of EXPRESS
EXPRESS is a true optimiser that will give you the ultimate cost benefit solution to your haul road requirements, from the bottom of the pit to the top. Substantial cost savings are therefore obtainable, with the system providing the optimum road reserve as a CAD file, and a grided pit surface for contouring and volumes.
EXPRESS will automatically provide an optimum cost based solution, or interactively provide the best solution according to your design constraints. For example, you can stop the road entering certain parts of the pit, or force it to exit at preferred locations and from a preferred direction. The system also allows you to step back through lesser cost effective solutions, thus providing sensitivity analysis on the road design.
EXPRESS reads Whittle 4D/4X input files, which allows it to interface to most mine planning packages. It is written using the latest programming techniques with C++ to provide a PC based program running under Microsoft Windows 95/98 and NT. Online documentation provides easy to follow guidelines on the use of EXPRESS.
